Necessity of quality management

The aim of this thesis is to provide through retrospective seach1 an objective view on given topic of quality management. For this purpose were selected particular data and subjects from book notations and documents. Since quality management is a dynamic process, which is concerned with wide range of problems, it is due to development of new technologies and knowledge innovated continuously. Even in this moment, when you are reading following chapters, there are new circumstances all around the word, with which this discipline will have to deal with.

Quality management tools

This bachelor thesis deals with methods, and above all with quality management tools. It consists of four parts. In the first part of the thesis is briefly presented the history of approaches to quality management. In the second part, a basic overview of the seven basic tools for quality control is elaborated and in the case of those tools, which are statistical, the procedure of their construction in Minitab is outlined. In the third part are processed advanced statistical tools with a focus on the analysis of the measurement system. In the fourth, practical part, selected methods of analysis of the measurement system are analyzed by case studies.

Quality Management Tools

This bachelor‘s thesis is written in the form of literature search. Main goal is to map the tools and methods that are designed to improve and sustain the required level of quality. The text is divided into two chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the definition of quality, its historical development, basic concepts that help define quality and in the end is a list of so called fathers of quality. The second chapter describes the tools that are used for quality control. They are divided into two groups - the seven basic tools of quality, and seven new tools.

Processes Improvement in the Mechanical Engineering Production

The bachelor's thesis focuses on improving the process of material control in relation to the production process in a selected company engaged in the production of aerosol cans. The proposal based on the analysis of the material control process applies the AQL method and the Brinell hardness testing for the input control of the material and presents the methodology for improving the quality of the process. The developed proposal should lead to a quality defects reduction and the improvement of supplier-customer relations.

Methods for measuring service quality in university libraries: a case study of libraries AMU and JAMU

This thesis examines the issue of measuring the quality of services from a theoretical and practical perspectives. It's trying to define the term quality in the context of library services, particular performance indicators used in practice and try to provide an overview of the possibilities of its measurement in the Czech environment as well as abroad. It describes methods Balanced ScoreCard, Benchmarking, Total Quality Management, ServQUAL and SWOT analysis, which originally came from the commercial sector and Benchmarking of libraries, Bibliotheksindex and LibQUAL +, which were created directly for a field of librarianship. It also maps the various activities in this field at national and international level. The practical part of the thesis consists of a survey in two selected libraries performed on the basis of three selected methods of quality measurement: Benchmarking of libraries, Bibliotheksindex and SWOT analysis. In conclusion of the thesis is based on the information gathered from own experience and practice created a general framework for service quality, the possibility of increasing quality and it's measurement in academic libraries.
